Song of the Serpent Dec 2018

The deepest truth,

can not be seen.

Its all vermouth,

know what I mean?

 

We carry on,

each marvelous day.

Until we are gone,

or have nothing to say.

 

Being on stage,

washed with screams.

Golden is the cage,

bizarre are the dreams.

 

We carry on,

each horrible day.

Until we are gone,

or have no place to play.

 

Why do I sing?

Iv got something to say.

What good does it bring?

I get paid anyway.

 

We carry on,

each confusing day.

Until we are gone,

or find a new way.

 

Music can move you,

far and fast.

Love can be true,

but how long will it last?

 

I got to go now,

its closing time.

And I dont know how,

to end this rhyme.

What do you want ?

What do you need ?

Can you find love ?

Will you succeed ?

 

Those are the questions,

we all think about.

Can we find happiness?

We frequently doubt.

 

What value do you see in me?

Is not asked a lot.

Can we help each other ?

Is friendship what we’ve got ?

 

Am I the one ?

Will our love be true ?

Is it all over ?

Or is it something new ?

 

Are you willing to,

walk with me in the rain,

laugh in good times,

and endure the pain ?

 

Are you the one ?

Will out love be true ?

Is it impossible ?

Or something we can do ?

This is based on Feb’s poem that was full of questions.

Are you willing to learn about me?

Everything you allow to be uncovered.
I'm willing to learn about you.

But will you accept the secrets of the past?

What things tick you off and make you scream?

Not many words or acts have that power today.
When you grow silent what does it means?

That I care enough to consider my words carefully.

What can you do, when I panic?
Calmly tell you, Im here when your ready.

Will you hold me, when I shut down?

Calmly being there, until you are ready.

Can I trust you to catch me when I fall?

No, but I will help you up as soon as I can.

Or will you be the one to confirm that what
I've always known all along?

No, I will be the one to surprise you in a way

you never thought possible. 

Afternoon of Questions march 2019

Will you hold me in the dark and cold?

Will we stay together as we grow old?

Is our love strong enough to last?

Can we overcome the past?

Take my hand and say you’ll try.

Laugh and love, care and cry.

Am I able to make your lonely life right?

Are you happy to stay night after night?

Is our love enough to carry us along?

Can we help each other be that strong?

The Mermaid Song

Mermaid, Mermaid in the tub,

you splish and splash, as I gently rub

away, all of the day’s sticky dirt

and sooth life's bitter hurt.

In the water you love to play,

I wish I could join you someday.

Mermaid, Mermaid, your tail is so fine,

I wish that soon you will be mine.

The Elf Song 

The beautiful elf liked to stand,

on top the highest hill in the land.

In dark or light she would sing,

sweet music for the distant king.

Her soul pure, yet so very sad.

Her life hard, yet not always bad.

The beautiful elf wanted to be free,

she hoped for love, just like you or me.
